RP Meme: Gender & Sexuality

Snagged from half the flist. Look at me distracting myself from writing my dissertation!

That meme thing!Collapse )

One day I will do a proper update. Probably when I have something to say that can't be summed up in 'Oh God, make this semester be over already!'.

RP meme!

So, since everyone else seems to have done it, and I just love to be a lemming...

Give me a character of mine and I will list for you their:

You gave me an excuse to stop being lazy and actually post something.

(Yeah, in other news, flist: I am still alive, even if I never update.)

Race for Life!

I meant to post about this the other day, then totally forgot. I'm lame.

Anyway, those of you on my flist last year, might remember I did the Birmingham Race for Life event. I couldn't walk without pain for about a week afterwards, but it was totally worth it.

Well both jakoby and I went and signed on again this year. In case you weren't aware, it's a yearly all female run with events all across the UK. All the proceeds going towards Cancer Research UK, one of those charities I'll always support after going through it all with my Mum over the years.

So, here would be my requisite sponsor me? bid (yes, totally went with reusing the username they gave me automatically last year from the email I signed up with, shhh).

This year, I even intend to TRAIN. A little bit... Maybe. I said this last time, and did nothing, so we'll see how that works out.

(no subject)

I am on a mission to waste time today. It's a Monday. I blame that. Sooo:

VM: Highfive!

Back to the city.

I have real live speedy broadband internet, and heating, and my double bed back, and by god it is GLORIOUS.

And, my first week back consists of one lecture. Next Friday.

DW: British!

Oh, stereotypes.

The things you discover thanks to the BBC.

Apparently, the end of Eastenders coincides with a dramatic increase in power demand in England. It happens nowhere else in the world. Only England.... because 50,000-odd kettles get switched on as the credits roll.

I have no explanation for why this tidbit amuses me so much. It just really, really does.
